Meet The Doctors

Dr. Melissa Nixon, DMD

Dr. Nixon is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Her passion for dentistry, and building relationships with her patients, began at a young age. As soon as she was old enough, Dr. Nixon began helping at her father’s dental practice in Pennsylvania. She quickly gained affection for connecting with patients, as well as an avid love of science and art. These early experiences in dentistry fuel her passion to deliver bigger and brighter smiles to her patients, providing them confidence and happiness. She graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Dickinson College, where she met her husband Jared, a Marine Corps officer. Dr. Nixon still finds time to train for triathlons, bake sourdough bread, and spend time with her husband and Maddie “the best puppy ever.”

Dr. Ryan Garske, DDS

Dr. Ryan earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, Maryland. Originally from Long Island New York, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 2017 to continue his career in dentistry. He is an active member of the American Association of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association. He is committed to continuing education in order to remain current with state-of-the-art technology, procedures and materials in dentistry.

Dr. Ryan's mission in dentistry is to provide the highest level of professional care for his patients. While educating his patients through each step of the treatment process, his goal is to include and inspire the patient to understand the importance of their oral health.

When he has free time, Dr. Ryan enjoys playing with his dog, Mavis, and his two chickens. Dr. Ryan is also married to Dr. Nixon’s sister (who is also a dentist!). 

Dr. Sherry Sharma, DMD

Dr. Sharma is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society upon graduation.

She has always been interested in biology along with mathematics, which came naturally to her since early on in life. However, she enjoyed and developed a keen interest in creating art and hence dentistry was the perfect profession for her. Extensive travels during her formative years molded her into a compassionate and empathetic person who actively listens and engages with her patients. She is a dentist who likes to create meaningful partnerships with her patients to deliver comprehensive and continuous oral care. She also strives to keep up with the current trends in dentistry and consistently takes continuing education courses to hone and master her skills. She understands how important restoring oral health procedures and educating awareness about good oral health can be for her patients. Dr. Sharma moved to Jacksonville, Fl in 2022 after marrying her husband and strives to serve the North Florida community.

During her free time, she loves to paint and spend time with her family. She is also an avid adventure enthusiast, loves to travel, and try new cuisines.
